inclusive of Nationwide Long Distance, Voicemail and Caller ID. The standard
text messaging rate for incoming and outgoing messages is 5 cents and this
applies to international messages as well. There are several refill options to
choose from when purchasing additional minutes.
Pros and Cons
The international rates offered
under the Total Call Mobile Prepaid plan are among the cheapest in the industry.
The service does not confuse you with many plans and the $0.10 per minute rate
is straightforward and very easy to remember. There are no hidden charges or
access fees on this simple plan. However, the service will not work on roaming
areas. Roaming capabilities are only offered on postpaid plans. Also, it does
include data services such as picture, internet browsing or multimedia sharing.
Features
Minutes
The calling rates remain at 10
cents per minute no matter what refill option you choose. The available refill
options are $10.00 for 100 domestic anytime minutes, $25.00 for 250 minutes and
$50.00 for 500 minutes. If you’re calling overseas, you simply need to add the
international rate on top of the base of 10 cents. You can check the rates to
specific countries on the Total Call Mobile website.
Data
Total Call Mobile Prepaid plan does not include data
services.
Text and picture
Both incoming and outgoing text
messages are charged 5 cents per message. The same rate applies to international
messages. As of the moment, Total Call Mobile Prepaid plans do not cover
pictures and other multimedia services.
International
Total Call Mobile Prepaid plan
offers affordable international rates. The rates vary by country and you may
check the specific rates on the website. Almost all countries in the world are
covered by this service.
Calling Features
The calling
features included in the service are Voicemail and Caller ID.
Long distance
Nationwide long distance is part
of the plan which means that the domestic rate remains at 10 cents per minute no
matter what part of the country you call. You may call Hawaii from the mainland
with no additional charge.
911
Yes. You may call 911 emergency
services even if your account is inactive. The phones support the Enhanced 911
service.
Payment Options
The minutes can be refilled by
calling customer service or by visiting any Total Call Mobile dealers. Payment
options include credit cards, debit cards, checks and cash.
Roaming charge
Roaming is not available on
areas where there is no Sprint coverage.

Minute expiration rules
Total Call Mobile Prepaid
minutes expire 90 days after the refill or activation date. To keep the account
active, a minimum of $10.00 is required every 90 days. The existing balance can
be carried over to the new expiration date if the account is refilled before the
current expiration date. If the current balance expires within the 90 day
period, it will be forfeited.
Customer Service
Customer Service is available 24
hours a day, seven days a week through a toll free hotline or email. Supported
languages are English, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Tagalog.
Phones
Total Call Mobile does not offer a
wide array of phone selection. Some available models are LG 5225, LG 225, Sanyo
Katana, and Samsung M300.
