    The Mojo Mobile was founded in 2005 in Hiawatha, Iowa. As a subsidiary of Ready Mobile, Mojo Mobile Prepaid was purposely designed for only frequent callers and offers the free nights and weekends’ features which known to be rare among prepaid services. The features according to the company are simple yet practical for the needs of its subscribers. The company’s network coverage is provided by Sprint which gives subscribers a larger coverage area. 

     

    Prepaid Plans

    All plans for Mojo Mobile Prepaid include unlimited nights and weekends as long as subscribers remain a minimum regular airtime balance. The company offers prepaid cards from $10 to $75 that can cover from 30 minutes to 500 minutes.

     

    Pros and Cons

    One of the features of Mojo Mobile Prepaid is their free nights and weekends and 10 minute bonus. However, these features are common among prepaid companies to attract new subscribers. As a whole, per minute rates for Mojo Mobile Prepaid is higher compared to others.

    Minutes

    The company doesn’t state the exact per minute rates for its prepaid plans. Each prepaid phone cards are loaded with specific number of minutes. The $10 cards is good for 30 minutes, $ 20 is for 80 minutes, $30 is for 140 minutes, $50 is for 250 minutes and lastly $75 is good for 500 minutes.

     

    Data Plans

    At present, Mojo Mobile Prepaid doesn’t support any data transport services to its subscribers.

     

    Text and Picture

    Mojo Mobile Prepaid only has text messaging for its subscribers. The rate for text messages is the same for sent and received which is 10 cents per message. Free text messages are not covered of the unlimited nights and weekend plans.

     

    International

    Mojo Mobile Prepaid subscribers can only make international calls to chosen countries only; subscribers can check the company’s website for the rates. For these selected countries, charges like international calling rates plus standard airtime apply. It will cost 4 cents per minute for calls to other US territory like Puerto Rico, Alaska, Hawaii and the US Virgin Islands.

     

    Calling Features

    Calling features for Mojo Mobile Prepaid subscribers are voicemail, caller ID and call waiting for free.

    Long Distance

    Long distance calls are treated like regular calls and will have the same per minute rates except to US territories mentioned above.

    Mojo Mobile Prepaid doesn’t offer any online transactions; subscribers can add funds and minutes by purchasing prepaid phone cards from selected retail stores.

     

    Roaming Charges

    Unfortunately, roaming rates are not clear yet for Mojo Mobile Prepaid. What is given is that calls made outside the network coverage of Mojo Mobile are considered roaming.

     

    Activation Fee

    The Mojo Mobile plan has no available activation fee for this moment.

     

    Minute Expiration Rules

    The short span of airtime minutes can definitely turn off possible customers. Minutes expire depending on the amount of minutes loaded from prepaid phone cards. The 30-minute card must be consumed and used within 7 days while the $20 can last up to 14 days. . For the $30, $50 and $75 cards, it can last up to 30 days.

     

    Customer Service

    For any assistance, subscribers dial 611 for free from their mobile phones. Subscribers for Mojo Mobile Prepaid can also call their toll free number for any assistance. They don’t have any email support or other means for customers to reach the company. Toll free numbers only operate in certain times (Pacific Time); Monday – Thursday (5am to 7pm), Friday (5am to 6pm) and Saturday (5am to 5pm). There is no customer support on Sundays.
